Weather Cancels the KC9BQA/W0WFH 144.240 Nets. K9LQZ May Still Get On.

   9:00am Wed.

Woke up this morning to heavy rain and thunder.   Then opened up the blinds and saw ice coating treetops, antennas, you name it.  That was a shock.  It’s 32 degrees here on the nose.   I need to be grateful that the bulk of our rain (2.31″ since Monday morning) has been liquid.
More rain and storms are forecast later today and tonight, and it’s not going to warm up, so I’m calling the net off right now.

**EXPECT WB9LYH BACK NEXT WED. APRIL 17TH.  ALSO REMEMBER THAT STARTING ON APRIL 17TH, WE START ALL NETS ONE HOUR LATER, UNTIL AT LEAST OCTOBER.**

There is an option tonight for those of you farther south.  K9LQZ has plans to get on 144.240 about 0020Z/7:20 central/8:20 eastern.  He’ll call for 15-20 minutes, depending on how much activity he hears.   Who knows?  Maybe if the band is open or if he gets busy, he’ll keep going.   K9LQZ is in EM68, a half hour NW of Louisville.   Of course, if there’s thunderstorms in Lowell’s area, then all bets are off.

*Again, starting next week, the mainstay WB9LYH net from EN54cl will start one hour later, at 8pm central/9pm eastern.  Also means that when W0WFH and K9LQZ are available, they will start their calling about 8:20/9:20pm, or 0120UTC.*

I’m going to make another post this morning about 222 Tuesday activity.  At the ON4KST.com chat archives from last night, looks like there were some stations on.   K8TQK has asked me to post these stations, to try and raise the visibility of 222 Tuesday.
