WB9LYH 144.240 Net from Central WI is ON Wed. Night
11am Tuesday –
After a holiday break, we’re back with the long-range net tomorrow night.
This week, WB9LYH in EN54cl (near Wisconsin Rapids, middle of the state) is the only game in town. Mark will get on 144.240 at 0100Z, or 8pm central, with his stacked 17B2′s (horizontal polarization, as is the norm on the SSB/CW side of V/UHF) and 500 watts. He starts out looking to his NE, then points the yagis E, SE, S, SW, W, NW and N over the next 60-90 minutes, depending on how busy it is.
All licensed amateurs are welcome, and DX check-ins are encouraged. The advantage we have with high gain yagis and SSB mode is that 100-300 mile contacts are typical, and with good conditions and/or well-equipped stations, contacts in the 400+ mile range are possible. As such, we appreciate you spreading the word in a very wide circle surrounding the Great Lakes/Midwest.
