Wednesday Long-Range Net Lineup for Nov. 10th

The nets I’m listing below are the only organized activity I’m aware of within 500 miles of my EN63 QTH on Wednesdays.
   This Wednesday, we will have:
KA0KYZ EN33 — southeast MN — on 144.230, starting by looking east right at 0045Z or 7:45pm eastern time.   He goes clockwise from there.   Guys in MI, OH, VE-3, and IN, listen for ‘KYZ.   He works W8BYA in EN70 regularly on a 400+ mile path.   You won’t miss anything on 144.240 or 144.250 — that’s why KA0KYZ is now starting 15 minutes earlier, so there’s no conflict.    After KA0KYZ looks at MI, OH and IN, he continues clockwise, and looks toward IL, MO, KS, IA, NE, the Dakotas and Minnesota, of course.   He’s always in chat if you want to set something up with him.
WB9LYH EN54 — central WI — on 144.240, starting at 0100Z or 8pm eastern, by looking NE into the U.P. of MI and then continuing clockwise, a full 360, over the next hour and a half.    Big station with stacked 17B2’s and 500w from a ridgetop QTH.   On a busy net night, he can work from Cleveland to Indy, to St. Louis, Kansas City, Omaha and up into EN58, Thunder Bay ONT.   This is with flat bands.
K8TQK EM89 — southern OH — on 144.250, starting at 0130Z or 8:30pm eastern, looking NNE to start and then going clockwise a full 360 over the next hour or so.    He covers so many states, it’d take me two lines to list them all.   Last week, he had 16 check-ins, getting out to  FN20, NJ and also to EM54, far NW AL.   That gives you an idea of Bob’s range.   We’re thrilled he’s on board with Wed. nights, expanding the activity farther and farther.     You can help by spreading the word to areas within 500 miles of southern OH.
Also remember that there are SWOT nets (see from EL99 Daytona Beach, FL on 144.250 at 8pm eastern and from EM13, just north of Dallas/Ft. Worth on 144.250 at 9pm central.   70-80% of the eastern half of the USA is now within range of a net on Wed. nights.
Nets don’t interest you?   Plenty feel the way you do; no problem.   Go ahead and enjoy 2m anyway.
There are dozens of signals on from multiple states on 2m on Wed. nights.   We encourage our net check-ins to “look around” on 144.220 and lower after net control has passed them by.   Dozens of guys working net control is nice and we appreciate it.   But if dozens of guys will call CQ in different directions on various frequencies, it does a world of good for activity levels.   Post your activity to the 144 Prop Logger or join us in chat — use the “IARU Region 2 Chat for 144/432 MHz”
